Drafting and advancing new humanitarian laws that protect people's health, freedom, and environment — and that counteract draconian laws already on the books.
About this project
Harmful laws rarely get repealed on their own, and protective laws rarely get written without someone doing the drafting. This project produces model humanitarian legislation and works to get it sponsored, heard, and enacted at state and federal levels.
We also audit existing statutes for draconian provisions — overreaching penalties, restrictions on natural medicine and food, immunity shields for polluters, and rules that criminalize poverty — and draft targeted replacements.
Every bill is written with the affected community in the room, backed by evidence from our research and disclosure work, and paired with a coalition strategy for passage.
